Hi friends! So I think I literally have like 4 classic styles in which I do makeup and one of my absolute favorite is to do a nice Black Smokey Eye! Maybe cuz I wear black so much? I am definitely more eyes person than I am lips. You are more likely to see me in a crazy eye than a crazy lip
But anyway I wanted to share a step by step guide on how I achieve my perfect Smokey eye! The video on IG was a short snippet but below is a step by step guide on the same x
I usually do the eye shadow first because I have a lot of fall out and I don’t like an unclean base.
Step 1: Use eyeshadow primer. I am using one from Lorac Pro Behind the Scenes Eyeshadow Primer, but I really like the one from Urban Decay too
Step 2: I use the Sandalwood shade on my HudaBeauty Rose Gold Palette. I put this in my crease because I am going to use this as a transition color. You can use any light brownish shade for this
Step 3: I use Sephora Jumbo Crayon – Waterproof in black to create a base. It is super pigmented and think. The idea is to apply it on the lid just a bit lower than the crease and use a blending brush and blend it in circular motion. It dries fast so make sure you blend it quickly. The point is for the product to get blended into the crease to make it look like a natural transition
Step 4: I take the black shade on the HB RoseGold Palette and with an applicator brush apply it on top the creamy blended part. Then I dab a blending brush (not the same one you blended the black in) in a shade darker than the brown you first took but lighter than the black and use it to create a transitional blend between the black shadow and brown crease.
Step 5: I use like a shimmery gold shade, such as Angelic in the HB Palette close to the brow bone and the upper part of the eye
Step 6: I apply eyeliner – not too winged, just simple. I use Schwing by Balm cosmetics usually as I love it! And then put my absolute FAVORITE Chunky Funky Kohl by Wojooh Beauty – I LOVE THIS KAJAL! Its so black – LOVE IT! And then I obviously use Mascara to complete the look!
Step 7: I use the BrowFood Brow Gel available on Bashara Care for my brows and top it with some Lorac Pro Pocket Pro dark brown powder!
Simple and easy right? Again, I know I am a plus size blogger in Dubai who usually talks about fashion and am no make up guru – but this is just my way of achieving this look x
