So all over Instagram people are sharing the Chrome nail trend and slowly a lot of salons are offering this service and I knew I had to try it too! So let's get to the details
How it works?
So you can 'chrome-ify' your nails be it on Gelish or regular polish. The only thing is if you want to do it on regular polish, you need to come get the chrome done the next day. This is because the nails need to be COMPLETELY dry. With Gelish they start the process after applying the top coat. I would definitely recommend going the Gelish way because if you are putting in so much effort might as well make sure it stays for at least 15 days.
Below is a series of images and videos showing how its done. Its basically a regular/gelish manicure and then after the top coat is applied, they apply a glittery powder all over the nail
Types and Colors?
So obviously as the base you can choose anything as per your wish but the glitter overlay can be in several colors such as Gold, Silver, Rosegold, Rainbow and sometimes even Blue and Green. My fingers are really dark so I knew I can't go for a Rosegold or Gold - I knew something subtle and safe like the Rainbow with a white base would be safe for me and that is what I went for
